YANNIE B., a 2006 Duffy 35, USCG Documentation #1200858, was custom built by Atlantic Boat for the current owner. YANNIE B., has a Hershoff interior in teak trim, the exterior is gelcoat with stainless hardware for ease of maintenance, and, to accommodate the owner's height, headroom in the main saloon is 6'8" and 6'3" down forward. YANNIE B.'s large cockpit and comfortable interior make her an all-around great boat for weekend cruising.

Layout
Boarding YANNIE B. you'll notice she has a spacious cockpit. Entering the main saloon through a stamoid and strataglass door there is a bright and open atmosphere. The galley is to starboard and the dinette opposite. Forward of the galley is the helm station with navigation opposite. The companionway to belowdecks is centerline. Once below, you'll find the head to starboard, a seat opposite, and the v-berth forward.
Accommodations
The cockpit is light beige gelcoat non-skid. There are four cast aluminum Freeman flush-mounted hatches, and two small, round hatches. Outboard are four lockers, two port and two starboard.
In the saloon, the galley-up counter-top is white Formica®. The sink is stainless steel with a deep, single bowl and hot and cold pressure water. The cook top is a twoburner alcohol with a cutting board used to cover the burners when not in use. Below the counter is a Nova Kool R3800 refrigerator, under-the-sink storage compartment, and four storage drawers. The saloon floor is composite decking with gelcoat nonskid.
The port settee is booth-style with the forward seating configured to reposition and double as a navigator's seat. The teak table rests on two adjustable, aluminum pedestals that lower to convert into a bunk. Cushions are of green canvas. Stowage under the seating is accessed through side-hinged doors and additional stowage under the platform has bottom-hinged doors. The navigator's area has a stainless steel foot rest and outboard storage.
The open aft bulkhead and three Bomon sliding windows (two port and one starboard) offer ample ventilation in the main cabin; each slider has a screen and the aft enclosure is fully removable.
The Bristol double-wide helm seat is mounted on a stowage cabinet. Entrance to the starboard side-deck is through an Aluminum 2000 sliding door. There is a stainless steel footrest attached to the steering bulkhead and the teak stoop's tread opens for storage. The three windshields each have a wiper and open to enhance ventilation for the main cabin. The overhead is 1/2" foam with white head liner, teak trim, and teak facia boards. Four stainless steel dome lights adorn the overhead.
Through the centerline companionway and down the two-step, teak ladder-type stairs you find yourself belowdecks. To starboard is an enclosed head with vanity, sink, and toilet; opposite the head is a hanging locker and seating; and forward is the V-berth.
Berth and seat cushions are of 4" thick foam with a green Sunbrella® covering. Hull sheathing is ash. There is shelving over the seat and port and starboard over the berth. Four oval Beckson 512-WC opening ports and a Gebo 20 x 20 opening hatch, each with screens, give ample ventilation. The anchor locker is forward. The overhead is 1/2" foam with a white head liner and teak trim. Four stainless steel dome lights provide lighting.
Electronics / Navigation
Ray Marine Multi-Function C120 12" display w/2KW radar; Ray Star 125 GPS Sensor; ST40 Depth & Transducer; Navonics Gold Chart Card on compact flash; mast for mounting radar and antennas. Raymarine VHF; Richie 2000 surface-mounted compass; Raymarine autopolot.
Hull, Deck & Top
The hull is solid fiberglass with (4) foam cored stringers, skin coat of vinylester resin, (2) engine room bulkheads, and (1) stern bulkhead of composite panel. The hull is dark green gelcoat, the single boot stripe white AWLGRIP®, and bottom paint is red Interlux F/G Bottom Kote.
The molded work boat deck [which has the windshield two feet farther ahead than the cruiser deck, allowing for an extra large cockpit] has an open back wall. The 8' house is balsa core with white gelcoat, the separate roof forms a visor and side overhang, the house stripe is green AWLGRIP®.
Equipment
The PVC guard and toe rails & spray and quarter guards are all through-bolted. The 1" stainless steel bow rail is through-bolted with backing plates as is the 4" stainless steel mooring bit. Two 1" stainless steel handrails rest on the cabin top, port and starboard. (2) 9" stainless steel chocks at the bow, through bolted with backing plates; (4) springline 8" stainless steel Attwood High Profile cleats; and (2) 10" stainless steel Attwood High Profile stern cleat with hawse pipes. Bow roller; teak pulpit; the Bruce 35# anchor with 20' of 5/16" chain and 200' 9/16" rode; the anchor windlass system is a Sprint 1000GD. The rope locker contains a shelf and drains to the bilge. Hand oil pump for engine and gear oil changes; companionway door enclosure; spot light; fenders; dock lines; fire extinguishers.
Engine & Mechanical
The Cummins 375 BHP QSB 5.9 engine is soft-mounted on aluminum beds with a gelcoated fiberglass drip pan under. Kobelt 2009 dual lever control, Morse 33C cable, Groco SBV safety seacock, Groco ARG sea strainer with monel basket. The 2" stainless steel shaft is Aquamet 22 and has a Drivesaver vibration dampening coupling insert. The exhaust is wet, single 6" with a muffler and 8" outlet and rubber exhaust flap. The exhaust hose is Series 200 Flex with a Centex Mark II muffler. The bronze propeller is 5-bladed. Spurs® line cutting system. The bow thruster is a 7", 4hp Sidepower single station. There are (2) 125 gallon fiberglass fuel tanks with stainless steel pick-ups and an MA1000 Racor fuel filter/water seaparator. The engine room has shelving for mounting batteries, two vents, 2" double barrier foam insulation with 1" extra Soundown with barrier finished with a perforated and powder coated aluminum sheeting.
The main saloon steering station has full power steering with a stainless steel steering ram, PTO driven hydraulic pump, aluminum hydraulic reservoir with sight gauge, spin-on return filter, and 20" Destroyer wheel.
The cold water tank is made of fiberglass and contains baffels, is built-in under the forward floor, and has a Flojet 4325 pump system. The hot water heater is a 6 gallon Raritan located in the engine room.
