Service & Storage
Located in Brooklin, Maine, Atlantic Boat Company was founded in 1995 by the merger of Duffy & Duffy and Flye Point Marine. Our 60,000 sq ft service and production facility sits on 37 acres on the shores of Herrick Bay where we store and service the sailing and powerboating community and continue the tradition of building Downeast lobster boats. Stop by and talk with us about the care of your boat.

| My Only Sunshine's new owner loved the boat but wanted a different look. After spending a day in our yard looking at many Duffys, ideas flourished, a design was drawn, and work began. The house was cut back, graceful lines were cut in, her fiberglass caprails were replaced with teak, and new windows installed. This winter's projects will include remodeling the galley-up to galley-down, adding a teak deck and overhead panels in the pilothouse, new engine compartment doors, and replacing the old Sounddown with new for added quietness. |
AWLgrip® is the premier standard finish in today's industry. Atlantic Boat has the
facility and the experience to offer the best quality paint work. We also offer varnish
work, bottom stripping, and interprotect application.
Another classic wooden sloop restored to her former beauty, Molly Bawn was deserving of the TLC she received this past winter. Her bottom was stripped, faired, and painted; a new composite deck was installed and painted; exterior wood, including toerails and caprails, were sanded and varnished; thruhulls were replaced; the cockpit sole received paint; and her mast and spars were stripped, sanded, and varnished.
Hogtown's hull, deck, and cockpit recieved new AWLgrip®. Her deck hardware was pulled and rebeded. The change in her appearance was so great her owners gave her a new name, Harmony.

Zerlina, a Duffy 42. Originally built by Atlantic Boat in 1998 as a commercial tow boat, Zerlina's new owner transformed her into a commercial tuna fishing boat. While some modifications occurred above-deck, most were under-the-deck. The giant tow bit was removed, the cockpit cut away, two insulated fish holds and three new fuel tanks were built, installed, and a new cockpit deck built. A saltwater wash-down, second house battery, refrigeration, deck lights, crane, trolling valve controls, and additional navigation equipment were installed. The swimplatform was removed, hull faired, and AWLgrip® applied. A large project, slated for a specific time frame, on budget. You can't beat that!
